DESCRIPTION:The D0 collaboration has introduced new variables (called aT a
 nd phi*) to\naccurately probe the low transverse momentum region of Z boso
 n production at\nhadron colliders. I present a state-of-the-art analytical
  calculation of these\nnew variables that contains the resummation of larg
 e logarithms up to next-to\nnext-to leading logarithmic accuracy\, matched
  to a full next-to leading order\ncalculation. Theoretical predictions are
  performed accounting for the\nexperimental cuts introduced by the D0 coll
 aboration and it is compared to the\ndata.
