DESCRIPTION:\n The star-triangle transformation is used to obtain an equiv
alence\nextending over the set of some (in)homogeneous bond percolation mo
dels on\nthe square\, triangular\, and hexagonal lattices. Amongst the con
sequences\nare\nbox-crossing (RSW) inequalities and the universality of al
ternating arms\nexponents (assuming they exist) for such models. The model
s'\nparameter-values are those at which the transformation is valid. This
is a\nstep towards proving the universality and conformality of these proc
esses.\nIt implies criticality of such values\, thereby providing a new pr
oof of the\ncritical point of inhomogeneous systems. The proofs extend to
certain\nisoradial models to which previous methods do not apply.\n\n
