DESCRIPTION:Cambridge Assessment has been involved in research into the co
mparability of examination standards for many years and\, since 2009\, has
had a dedicated programme of research in this field. \n\nComparability of
examination standards is a multifaceted and contentious area of research\
, involving practical dilemmas and complex theoretical modelling of the is
sues\, which have been complicated by a lack of clarity in the terminology
being used. Finding effective methodological solutions to inform practice
is a challenge which has been exercising researchers in the field for man
y years.\n\nIn this seminar a panel of key staff will discuss the issues s
urrounding comparability and will engage in debate with the audience about
methods for establishing comparability\, public understanding of the issu
es and directions for the future.\n
