DESCRIPTION:<p><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\;">Opposing trends of th
e PGE pattern of primitive mantle melts and of peridotite-xenoliths are ob
served worldwide. The most likely processes of PGE fractionation during ma
ntle melting will be discussed in due consideration of various physico-che
mical interaction processes between coexisting silicate\, solid sulfide an
d liquid sulfide phases. It is possible to link the distinct different PGE
pattern of primitive mantle melts and of peridotite-xenoliths to ‘simpl
 e’ mantle melting processes.</span></p>
