DESCRIPTION:Considering the trade-offs between different antenna approache
 s for cost-effective and high-performance millimetre-wave systems\n\nJames
  will be presenting some of his work on millimetre-wave systems\, a freque
 ncy range which has gathered a lot of interest over the past decade\, prim
 arily due to the availability of significantly more bandwidth compared to 
 the traditional highly congested microwave bands. The lecture will focus o
 n antenna design approaches\, which often dictates the system architecture
 \, whilst considering the trade-offs in complexity\, performance\, size an
 d cost of the overall system. Different design approaches for low-cost and
  high-performance systems will be discussed\, whilst considering new techn
 ology and manufacturing advances.\n\nThe lecture will cover real-world exa
 mples developed by Plextek where contrasting requirements throughout the s
 ystem have led to novel antenna array solutions\, whilst also considering 
 future millimetre-wave system developments to address future requirements
