DESCRIPTION:The talk will describe some recent work on arrays of 3d topolo
gical\nsolitons\, in two different systems. The first is static\nYang-Mill
s-Higgs monopoles (an integrable system of PDEs)\, and\nspecifically doubl
y-periodic solutions (monopole domain walls).\nA few explicit solutions of
this type are known\; and various analytic\ntechniques\, such as the gene
ralized Nahm transform\, are available\nfor understanding them. I shall re
view what is known\, and describe\nsome analytic and numerical results.\n\
 nThe second half deals with a triply-periodic solutions (crystals)\nin a f
amily of Skyrme systems\, where the field takes values in the\nsquashed 3-
sphere. This family includes the standard Skyrme model\n(round 3-sphere) a
nd the Faddeev-Hopf case (maximal squashing).\nIn the round case\, the low
est-energy crystal is a cubic lattice of\nhalf-skyrmions\; but in the squa
shed case the crystal structure is\ndifferent\, and I shall describe some
 of the structures that arise.
