DESCRIPTION:The talk will focus on one main paper investigatin
 g children’s recall of unique features embedded in
  repeated events.  ABSTRACT: Preschool and school-
 age children’s memory and source monitoring were i
 nvestigated by questioning them about one occurren
 ce of a repeated lab event (n = 39). Each of the f
 our occurrences had the same structure\, but with 
 varying alternatives for the specific activities a
 nd items presented. Variable details had a differe
 nt alternative each time\; hi/lo details presented
  the identical alternative three times and changed
  once. New details were present in one occurrence 
 only and thus had no alternatives. Children more o
 ften confused variable\, lo\, and new details acro
 ss occurrences than hi details. The 4- to 5-year-o
 ld children were less accurate than 7- to 8-year-o
 ld children at attributing details to the correct 
 occurrence when specifically asked. Younger childr
 en rarely recalled new details spontaneously\, whe
 reas 50% of the older children did and were well a
 bove chance at attributing them to their correct o
 ccurrence. Results are discussed with reference to
  script theory\, fuzzy-trace theory and the source
 -monitoring framework.  \nThe talk will conclude w
 ith a short discussion of ongoing research concern
 ing children’s memory representations of repeated 
 events. \n
