DESCRIPTION:Discover Climate Repair: another kind of climate action. Thurs
 day 16th October at 1-2pm. \n\nIn this first seminar of a new series\, Pro
 f Hugh Hunt will introduce climate repair - actions that go beyond emissio
 ns reduction to consider the removal of GHGs and increasing the planet's a
 bility to reflect sunlight (you might have seen that in the news as "geoen
 gineering" or "climate cooling"). Clara Botto\, Director of Outreach at th
 e Alliance for the Just Deliberation of Solar Geoengineering (DSG) will th
 en delve into the controversies and considerations of adding another kind 
 of climate action to global strategies.\n\nJoin us at 1-2pm on 16th Octobe
 r in the Dr Constance Tipper Lecture Theatre\, Dept of Engineering. The se
 ries is hosted by the Centre for Climate Repair at the University of Cambr
 idge. Later events will be held on 30th October\, 13th November\, and 1st 
 December.
