DESCRIPTION:The problem of quasiisometric (QI) classification of solvable 
 Lie groups is very much open. I will present a new method that allows one 
 to distinguish between certain QI classes of solvable Lie groups.\nA nice 
 thing about this method is that it uses sublinear bilipschitz equivalence\
 , which can be viewed as a generalization of QI in which the additive cons
 tant is replaced by a sublinearly growing function. Cornulier proved that 
 these maps play an important role not just in the geometric but also in th
 e algebraic sturcture of solvable Lie groups. Our method exploits this geo
