DESCRIPTION:With the conclusion of the Elliott Classification Programme ab
 out a decade ago\, a lot of research has been conducted on determining whi
 ch C*-algebras are classifiable\, i.e. satisfy the conditions of the class
 ification theorem. After reviewing some of the relevant machinery develope
 d to address this problem for crossed products\, I will present some recen
 t results on actions of several groups of dynamical origin. This is joint 
 work with Petr Naryshkin.
