DESCRIPTION:This presentation explores the innovative application of DNA a
ptamer nanotechnology in cancer diagnostics and therapy. Cancer-specific D
NA aptamers have been developed to address critical challenges in tumor lo
calization\, margin assessment\, circulating tumor cell detection\, and ad
juvant treatment. Two novel aptamer-based technologies are highlighted: Ap
 tamer-assisted Fluorescence-Guided Surgery (AptaFGS) and Aptamer-guided Ma
 gnetoDynamic cell disruption (AptaMD).\nIn AptaFGS\, a tumor-specific apta
mer spray is formulated for glioblastoma neurosurgery. This approach elimi
nates the need for systemic drug administration\, offering a simple\, rapi
d procedure that enables surgeons to distinguish tumor tissue from healthy
  tissue in real-time.\nAptaMD uses aptamer-modified gold-coated magnetic n
anoparticles exposed to an alternating magnetic field for selectively dest
roying cancer cells. This technique achieves tumor cell disruption without
inducing heat damage\, preserving the surrounding healthy tissue.\nThese
advancements demonstrate the potential of synthetic affinity ligands (apta
mers) to improve intraoperative tumor imaging and postoperative cancer cel
l eradication\, paving the way for more precise and effective cancer treat
 ments.\n
