DESCRIPTION:In this talk we will review models and constraints on halo occ
 upation distribution (HOD) statistics in Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB)
  cross-correlation studies. We will focus on CMB lensing and kinetic Sunya
 vev Zeldovich cross-correlations. As we will see\, HOD degeneracies are a 
 limiting aspect of our measurements of the gas distributions around massiv
 e halos. We will discuss current constraints on the gas derived from recen
 t ACT data and prospects for SO\, as well as the significance of these con
 straints in the context of hydrodynamical simulations.
