DESCRIPTION:Yuval Elani is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and Reader in the 
 Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. He co-Direc
 ts the membrane biophysics platform and is founder and Co-Director of the 
 fabriCELL centre for synthetic cell research.  Yuval studied Natural Scien
 ces as an undergraduate (Cambridge\, 2009) followed by a PhD in the Instit
 ute of Chemical Biology (Chemistry\, Imperial College\, 2015).  After his 
 PhD he held a series of fellowships (EPSRC Doctoral Prize\, ESPRC Postdoct
 oral Fellowship\, Imperial College Research Fellowship) working on various
  topics in biochemical engineering. He moved to the Faculty of Engineering
  in 2020 to take up his current position.  He leads a diverse group of c. 
 25 researchers working on frontier research in applied biotechnology\, inc
 luding soft matter.\n\nIn this discussion\, Yuval will share perspectives 
 and insights from his career journey so far\, and will engage in an open Q
 &A session. The session is aimed at STEM early careers researchers from al
 l backgrounds.\n\nALL WELCOME\n
