DESCRIPTION:Code that writes itself has been a goal of artificial intellig
ence since its earliest days\, and we are now closer than ever to fully au
tomating programming. This seminar explores two key approaches driving thi
s progress: genetic programming\, which evolves programs through natural s
election\, and large language models (LLMs)\, which generate code using pa
tterns learned from vast datasets. Combining these methods could overcome
current limitations and pave the way for a future where machines play a ce
ntral role in shaping software development.
