DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will reveal a recent and unexpect
ed connection between TDA and (relative) homologic
al algebra and exact categories. This connection h
as been leveraged to construct signed barcodes tha
t exhibit 'stability' in ways that barcodes derive
d from M&ouml\;bius inversions cannot. More broadl
y\, this framework can be used to create descripto
rs that 'probe' data for specific algebraic-topolo
 gical features.
