DESCRIPTION:Nonlocal games are a foundational tool for understanding entan
glement and constructing quantum protocols in settings with spatially sepa
rated quantum devices. Recently\,Kalai et al. defined a cryptographic comp
ilation procedure for nonlocal games. It translates a (two-player) nonloca
l game into a single-player game\, using cryptography to simulate the spat
ial separation between the players. This talk will be about the quantum va
lue of such compiled nonlocal games. We will discuss techniques for boundi
ng the quantum value and see when the value is preserved under the compila
tion procedure.\nThis talk is based on joint work with Alexander Kulpe\, G
iulio Malavolta\, Connor Paddock and Michael Walter.
