DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nThe presentation will explore the challenges enco
untered in developing and deploying cutting-edge\, specialized VR systems
tailored for demanding applications in industrial and healthcare settings.
The first part of the talk will introduce a sophisticated digital twin-st
yle training system for electricians working with high and medium-voltage
power systems. This system's main challenge lies in accurately replicating
real-world infrastructure and the interactions of human operators while s
till allowing for flexible\, no-code customization of scenarios within the
company’s resources. This was accomplished by adopting a flexible VR sy
stem framework\, integrating knowledge management practices and semantic m
odelling. The second part will detail the development of a unique solution
designed to aid individuals with hand disabilities in performing therapeu
tic exercises. This involved creating an anatomically tailored 3D-printed
hand orthosis equipped with custom sensors\, serving as an alternative to
conventional VR controllers. The successful implementation of both solutio
ns was made possible by leveraging the expertise of interdisciplinary engi
neering teams. The talk will demonstrate how\, with the right approach\, V
R technology can effectively integrate into professional practices in both
  industrial and healthcare domains.\n\nBio:\n\nhttps://filip.gorski.employ
