DESCRIPTION:Since the early 2000s\, there has been a continuous interest i
 n electromagnetic metamaterials due to the extraordinary physical properti
 es they offer. Particularly\, the phenomena of negative refraction and per
 fect lensing in metamaterials that possess simultaneously negative permitt
 ivity and permeability have gained significant attention. Over the past de
 cade\, the focus of metamaterial research has shifted from volumetric meta
 materials to quasi-planar metamaterials\, commonly referred to as metasurf
 aces. During this talk\, I will present a review of our findings on super-
 resolution and sub-wavelength imaging in planar polariton-resonant structu
 res and metasurfaces formed by arrays of scatterers.
