DESCRIPTION:\nInspired by recent experiments that combine a mi
crotubule-based active fluid with phase separating
fluid mixtures\, we have used numerical and analy
tical methods to explore how active stresses and a
ssociated flows modify liquid-liquid phase separat
ion and the properties of the resulting liquid int
erfaces. Experiments and theory have revealed a we
alth of intriguing phenomena\, including activity
suppressed and arrested phase separation\, giant i
 nterfacial fluctuation\, traveling interfacial wav
es\, and activity controlled wetting transitions.\
