DESCRIPTION:While depth imaging is the ultimate goal of seismic processing
 \, the biggest computational efforts in the industry are often spent on pr
 ocessing the measurements in the time domain. Time processing technologies
  aim to enhance the seismic signal of interest and to eliminate various fo
 rms of noise\, either coherent or incoherent\, occurring in nature or resu
 lting from acquisition limitations. This talk describes some of the pertur
 bations affecting seismic data that are typically not represented in the m
 odels used for imaging and inversion. The methods to eliminate the effects
  of such perturbations will also be introduced.
