 ge\, Madingley Road\, Cambridge.\n\nOn 7th March at 1pm Dr Lydia Jaeger wi
ll give a seminar entitled ‘Why Theology Needs Science – and Why Scien
ce Needs Theology’\n\nLunch will be provided from 12:30 in the Healey Ro
 om\, Westminster College\, Cambridge.\n\nAbstract\nIn contrast to common p
ractice\, which separates science and theology\, this talk maps out possib
le fruitful interactions between science and theology. In particular\, it
asks how theologians and faith communities (in particular the Christian ch
urches) can benefit from science – and what scientists can learn from th
eology for their professional work. Such an integrated view enables believ
ers to adopt a positive stance towards scientific progress. Against the ma
instream\, I will also argue that there is room to consciously take advant
age of theological resources in scientific practice. Although this seminar
mainly uses creation as the lens through which to address these questions
\, it also hints at contributions which the concept of sin offers.\n\nhttp
