DESCRIPTION:Do you ever wonder how to recover from the stress 
 of term\, or want to know how to enjoy a mindful a
 nd nourishing winter break? Do you sometimes find 
 big festivals like Christmas a bit overwhelming\, 
 and want to better secure a peace of mind?\n\nJoin
  us at the Buddhist Society's last Wise Wednesday 
 speaker event this term!\n\nOur speaker\, Philip G
 uildford\, is going to share with us how we can sp
 end this holiday more mindfully. Philip is a long-
 time meditation practitioner and teacher of many c
 ourses in the Samatha tradition. A graduate of Nat
 ural Sciences from Jesus College\, Cambridge\, Phi
 lip is now the Chief Operating Officer of the Depa
 rtment of Engineering at the University.\n\nPhilip
 's talks and classes have been extremely well-rece
 ived. It would be a good opportunity to ask questi
 ons about your own practice and to clarify doubts.
  \n\nThe event will take place this Wednesday (30t
 h Nov) from 8.00 to 9.00 pm at Teaching Room 1\, O
 ld Divinity School. \n\nCome along to meet and soc
 ialise with other Buddhist peers at the university
  or just to learn about some interesting Buddhist 
 philosophy! Everyone is welcome\, no prior knowled
 ge in Buddhism or experience in meditation require
 d.\n\nThe schedule will roughly be as follows:\n\n
 * 8.00-8.15 Guided meditation practice\n* 8.15-8.4
 5 Sharing\n* 8.45-9.00 Discussion and questions\n\
 n\nFree snacks and drinks will be provided.\n\nFee
 l free to stay after the session to have a chat wi
 th the speaker or the committee members.
