DESCRIPTION:With the advent in the near future of radio telescopes as LOFA
 R\,\na new window on the high-redshift universe will be opened.\nIn partic
 ular\, it will be possible\, for the first time\, to observe the\n21cm sig
 nal from the diffuse Intergalactic Medium (IGM) prior to its\nreionization
  and thus probe the "dark ages".\nIn this talk I will discuss about the th
 eoretical modeling of the\nreionziation process\, the observability of the
  21cm signal from the\ndiffuse IGM and the efforts ongoing within the LOFA
 R Epoch of Reionization working group.\n\n
