n\nIsaac Physics invites you to come and hear about their exciting develop
ments and celebrate their achievements on the 22nd November\, Pippard Lect
ure Theatre. The presentation will be followed by drinks. All members of t
he department are welcome to attend. \n\nIsaac Physics is a resource for s
tudents in year 7 all the way through to first year university and support
s maths\, physics and chemistry. The project has just passed a significan
t milestone – more than 100 million question attempts by its users. Isa
ac has been used by 3\,265 state schools in England\, and more than 11\,80
 0 teachers. In 2021\, we launched a new initiative – STEM SMART - a 17
month sustained course\, working with students who had experienced educat
ional disadvantage and groups who are traditionally underrepresented at Un
iversity in physical sciences and engineering courses – to raise attainm
ent and encourage applications to top universities. We hope that this pres
entation will be useful for all members of the department\, including pare
nts\, those who are involved in admissions interviews this December and th
ose who just want to learn more about what we do. In this presentation we
will highlight our FREE to use resources\, the impact we have achieved ove
r the last 10 years and showcase the our outstanding STEM SMART students\,
their commitment to the programme and their experience.
