DESCRIPTION:The theory of Riemann-Hilbert Problems (RHP) provides a major
tool for investigating the asymptotic behaviours of certain classes of ort
hogonal polynomials. However\, there remain classes of q-orthogonal polyno
mials for which the methodology has not been developed. In this talk\, we
extend the approach to a class of polynomials that are orthogonal with res
 pect to a compact q-lattice\, i.e.\, q^k\, for positive numbers k (q<1)\,
and deduce their asymptotic behaviours in the limit their degree tends to
 infinity.
