DESCRIPTION:Every living animal dies. Yet we know little about how animals
  respond to the deaths of others\, even in our closest living relatives\, 
 the primates. In this seminar\, I will discuss recent research and case re
 ports that provide insight into the breadth and ubiquity of primates' resp
 onses to death\, their motivations for interacting with the dead\, and evi
 dence for whether they grieve when bereaved.
