 26\, NOT FW11.\n\nAbstract\n\nQuantum computing is an emerging new technol
 ogy which promises to completely change computing as we know it. In partic
 ular\, the advent of quantum computers poses a serious threat to cybersecu
 rity. Encryption methods hailed as ‘unbreakable’ by classical computer
 s can be cracked by quantum computers in a matter of hours. In this talk\,
  we will discuss the basics of quantum computing and how it could be used 
 to attack common encryption algorithms. We also introduce and evaluate the
  top candidates to replace our current encryption methods for a post-quant
 um era.\n\nSpeakers\n\nLeading this presentation is Data Reply’s Quantum
  Computing Consultant Anuj Doshi\, an Oxford alumnus who has been working 
 on quantum computing applications for over a year\, specializing in quantu
 m circuit architectures in machine learning. Joining him is recent Cambrid
 ge graduate Vasundhara Prasad\, who has previously worked on financial use
 s of gate-based quantum computing and is now working on other quantum comp
