 al physics in the area of correlated quantum materials\, focusing on the e
 mergence\nof ab initio quantum chemical methods for correlated quantum mat
 erials phenomena\, and describe recent progress towards understanding \nhi
 gh temperature superconductors at the atomic and chemical level using such
  methods.
