DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will consider the problem of designing absorb
 ing boundary conditions for the simulation of dispersive equations. Roughl
 y speaking\, these are artificial boundary conditions set at the boundarie
 s of the computational domain so that the numerical solution is nothing bu
 t the solution of the problem set on the whole domain but restricted to th
 e computational domain. Other type of boundary conditions like classical N
 eumann or periodic boundary conditions may generate unphysical reflections
  or change the dynamical behaviour. As possible applications of this analy
 sis\, one may think on wave generation\, domain decomposition\, numerical 
 analysis of modulation problems.\nThese are joint works with: C. Besse\, D
