DESCRIPTION:Motives were introduced by Alexander Grothendieck
in the1960s\, and they have since become a fundame
ntal tool for investigating the structure of algeb
raic varieties. More recently\, Levine and Morel d
efined a universal oriented cohomology theory\, ca
lled the algebraic cobordism. It allows one to con
sider algebraic analogues of well studied topologi
cal oriented cohomology theories such as Morava K-
theories. \;In the talk I would like to presen
t several recent developments related to computati
ons of Morava motives and provide some application
s to algebraic groups and twisted flag varieties.
This talk is based on a joint work with Andrei Lav
renov\, Victor Petrov\, and Pavel Sechin.
