DESCRIPTION:We propose fully explicit projective integration s
chemes for non-linear collisional kinetic equation
s for mixtures. The methods employ a sequence of s
mall forward-Euler steps\, intercalated with extra
polation steps. The telescopic approach repeats sa
id extrapolations as the basis for an even larger
step. This hierarchy renders the computational com
plexity of the method essentially independent of t
he stiffness of the problem\, which permits the ef
ficient solution of equations in the hyperbolic sc
aling with very small Knudsen numbers. We validate
the scheme against standard test cases\, and we d
emonstrate its prowess in dealing with large mass
ratios\, fluid instabilities and other complex phe
