DESCRIPTION:A set of measurements is currently strongly pointi
ng towards beyond the Standard Model in particle p
 hysics: the so-called `flavour anomalies’. I will
describe these measurements in general terms and d
escribe what new physics can explain them. The new
physics quantum fields come in two classes: flavo
ur-changing leptoquarks or Z-primes. I will say ho
w these can be found by direct searches in particl
e colliders\, and how they may shed light on the f
 ermion mass puzzle.
LOCATION:Both in-person (at MR2\, DAMTP) and online (detail
s to be sent by email)
