DESCRIPTION:We study some functionals associated with a proces
s driven by a fractional boundary value problem (F
BVP for short). By FBVP we mean a Cauchy problem w
ith a boundary condition written in terms of a fra
ctional equation\, that is an equation involving t
ime-fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo.
We focus on lifetimes and additive functionals cha
racterizing the boundary conditions. We show that
the corresponding additive functionals are related
to the fractional telegraph equations. Moreover\,
the fractional order of the derivative gives a un
ified condition including the elastic and the stic
ky cases among the others. This talk is based on t
he work "M. D'Ovidio. Fractional Boundary Value Pr
oblems. Fract. Calc. Appl. Anal. \;Vol. 25\, N
o 1 (2022) ". Moreover\, we discuss some recent pr
ogress based on a joint work with Massimiliano Gio
na.
