DESCRIPTION:One study a general class of hybrid mathematical m
odels of collective motions of cells under the inf
luence of chemical stimuli. The models are hybrid
in the sense that cells are discrete entities give
n by ODE\, while the chemoattractant is considered
as a continuous signal which solves a diffusive e
quation. For this model one proves the mean-field
limit in the Wasserstein distance to a system give
n by the coupling of a Vlasov-type equation with t
he chemoattractant equation. The approach and resu
lts are based on marginals of large number of indi
viduals densities and provide explicit bounds. In
the monokinetic case new pressureless nonlocal Eul
er-type model with chemotaxis is derived.
