DESCRIPTION:I report the adverse effects that the Large Magellanic Cloud h
 as on the Milky Way dynamics: deflection of stellar streams and satellite 
 galaxies\, disruption of the serene tranquility of the stellar halo\, disp
 lacement of the Galaxy itself. I will then illustrate possible measures to
  restore the order in celestial spheres\, and discuss how this star-crosse
 d encounter could be used for an astronomer's benefit.
