DESCRIPTION:I will discuss prospects for GW detection with AIO
N and AEDGE\, atom interferometry experiments focu
sing on the mid-frequency band. The main emphasis
will be on searches for stochastic GW backgrounds
that could have been produced in the early univers
 e. The specific sources I will discuss are cosmolo
gical first order phase transitions and cosmic str
ing networks. I will also discuss to what extent w
e can probe the expansion of the Universe using th
 ese primordial GW signals.
