SUMMARY:Recent measurements using 3He spin-echo spectroscopy: Bound state
resonances - Fay Tuddenham\, SMF Group\, Cavendish Laboratory

DESCRIPTION:For measuring gas-surface bound state resonances\, spin-echo s
pectroscopy offers an energy resolution that is superior to coventional me
thods. The talk will describe what bound state resonances are\, why they a
re useful in determining atom-surface potentials and what new information
is offered by recent measurements for the Si(111)-(1x1)H surface.
