DESCRIPTION:This talk will focus on NLP models in an enterprise setting. U
 nlike\nconsumer settings\, enterprise solutions require NLP to rapidly ada
 pt\nto new domains as well as provide some level of control for the user\,
 \neither dynamically or statically. This is to facilitate scale with\nresp
 ect to the number of distinct clients of the service. Scale in\nenterprise
  solutions can only be achieved through the development of\nML and NLP sol
 utions that minimize the need for ML/NLP practitioners\nto be involved in 
 every new use case. To this end\, motivated by\nassisted document writing\
 , I will discuss two recent papers that focus\non adaptation through synth
 etic data creation and control in\ngenerative models\, the former applied 
 to retrieval and the latter to\nsummarization. I will show that simple tec
 hniques can help automate\nthe construction of models for both of these ch
 allenges making\ndeployment seamless.\n\nThis is based on work with collea
