 n\n*Speaker:*\nPatricia Owens is Professor of Inte
 rnational Relations and Director of the Leverhulme
  Research Project Women and the History of Interna
 tional Thought\, having previously held posts at H
 arvard\, Princeton\, UCLA\, UC-Berkeley\, the Univ
 ersity of Southern California\, the University of 
 Sydney and Oriel College here in Oxford.\n\nHer mo
 st recent book\, Economy of Force (Cambridge) won 
 the 2016 Susan Strange Prize for the Best Book in 
 international studies\, the 2016 International Stu
 dies Association Theory Section Best Book Award\, 
 and was Runner up for the 2016 Francesco Guicciard
 ini Prize for Best Book in Historical IR.\n\nPatri
 cia was co-editor of the European Journal of Inter
 national Relations between 2013 and 2018. She is a
 lso co-editor of the leading undergraduate textboo
 k in international relations\, The Globalization o
 f World Politics (Oxford\, 2019). The book is now 
 in its 7th edition and has been translated into Ar
 abic\, French\, Korean\, Polish\, Greek\, Turkish\
 , Slovene\, Hungarian and Macedonian.\n\n*Attendan
