DESCRIPTION:What is quantum chaos and how is it related to black holes? Ch
 aotic systems distribute any inserted information over themselves\; the sp
 eed of this distribution of information reveals the degree of chaos. In th
 is talk\, I will briefly introduce a notion of quantum chaos before turnin
 g to a model that is the archetypical example for a maximally chaotic syst
 em: the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model. The behavior of the SYK model is fu
 ndamentally linked to black holes\, where information seems to disappear b
 eyond their event horizon. As I will show\, the SYK model is supersymmetri
 c in its "vanilla" form without any fine-tuning of its parameters. This im
 plies that certain properties of the supersymmetry determine how informati
 on spreads — in other words\, how chaos spreads — through the system\;
  the supersymmetry thus brings structure into chaos.
