DESCRIPTION:The MEDICAL project aims to explores\, through dental calculus
  analysis\, the medical care offered to people who experienced leprosy and
  lived in leprosaria in Northern Europe during the late medieval period. U
 sing cutting edge techniques\, historical information from published works
 \, and modern reference collections\, this research aims to identify the m
 icro-remains of plants and other medicinal ingredients as well as other ad
 ditional information useful to reconstruct the everyday life in a medieval
  leper hospital.
