DESCRIPTION:<b>Registration will close at the end of Friday 5th December</
b>\n\nThe Physics of Living Matter explores how the techniques\, methods a
nd general philosophy of the Physical Sciences can be applied to Biology.
It is concerned with the structure and organization of biological systems
and has the cell at its centre. From there\, it extends both down to the m
olecular realm and upwards towards the tissue/organism level. At this year
s symposium the L Bragg Lecture will be given by Professor Xiaoliang Sunne
y Xie of Harvard University and other confirmed speakers include Professor
Denis Noble\, Professor Winfried Denk and Dr Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz
. We will also celebrate the launch of the Physics of Medicine initiative
of the Cavendish Laboratory and School of Clinical Medicine.\n\nPhysics o
