DESCRIPTION:There is increasing recognition that simulating the complexity
  of human-environmental landscapes and associated decision making requires
  the integration of models or numerical representation of the processes in
 fluencing competition for\, or access to\, space\, water etc and their int
 eractions\, inter-dependencies and feedbacks.  Coupling of pre-existing mo
 dels is one approach to providing this integration. This presentation will
  discuss the practical approaches taken to facilitate model coupling in th
 e UK/European scale CLIMSAVE and IMPRESSIONS integrated modelling platform
 s\, and how uncertainty and error propagation were evaluated.  It will als
 o consider the importance of modellers as sources of uncertainty within th
 e projections from such coupled modelling systems.<br>
