In this article we are going to explain an important property that depended on the flow of current through a conductor, it is called Loadability.

Loadability is defined as the number of current flows through a load without any limitations.

The Loadability factor normally considers with line Loadability, generally, they may be thermal limits, voltage drop limit, and steady-state stability.

**Line Loadability **

The line Loadability is expressed in percentage of surge Impedance loading, the limiting factor such as thermal limit, voltage drop, and steady-state.

**Thermal limit**

thermal limit will represent the amount of heat at the transmission line, which limits the flow of current.

**Voltage drop limit**

The voltage drop will indicate the amount of voltage drop at the receiving end; loading of the line is very high compare to surge Impedance loading, which results from a huge voltage drop at the receiving end.

**Steady-state**

it will indicate the length of the transmission line for the distribution.

**Loadability in power system **

At power systems, the problems are caused by voltage collapse and also instability.

Both these limits will happen due to single or multiple causes occurs at the power system, for example,

Increase in load, losses happened at the system by transformer, generator and other devices.

**Loadability of transmission line **

The Loadability of the transmission line is mainly depending on steady-state line maximum power.

It is defined as the maximum capacity of an electric power system line to maintain its initial condition after a small interruption to reach its user.
