DESCRIPTION:Maria is a graduate of Bristol and Cambridge Unive
 rsities. She pursued a PhD in Earth Sciences as a 
 Bill and Melinda Gates Scholar and has since moved
  on to policy work at\, among others\, the Chancel
 lery of the Prime Minister and the British Embassy
  in Poland. She is currently the Lead for Programm
 e Development and Sustainability as part of the In
 ternational Research Agendas Programme at the Foun
 dation for Polish Science.\nDuring the talk she wi
 ll discuss scientific research in Poland\, career 
 opportunities and funding options.\n
