DESCRIPTION:It is common belief that "Quantum Computing is the
future" as they present new and efficient ways of
  solving computationally-intensive problems. Promi
 ses of RSA-breaking complexity-theoretic speedups
incite interest in the industry. However\, the wor
ld has not yet fallen into quantum madness in the
same way that the we see industrial obsessions wit
h HPC and AI. So what's the hold-up? This talk wil
l give a basic intuition for the advantages of Qua
ntum Computing (no maths!!!) as well as a discussi
on on the limitations of current devices and how(/
if) we are dealing with them.
