DESCRIPTION:The number and the scale of Internet attacks has been growing 
 over the last few years. Effective attacks can degrade and often cut off n
 etwork connections to a variety of selected targets\, from servers of an e
 nterprise to a small country. In this talk\, we are going to explore how s
 ome of the attacks work and how emerging network technologies provide us w
 ith new tools that we can use to build better defence mechanisms and impro
 ve Internet’s security.
