DESCRIPTION:NASA's InSight Mission successfully landed on Mars in November
\, carrying seismometers\, a heat flow probe and an X-band Doppler experim
ent. The main aims of the mission are to determine the rate of seismic act
ivity on Mars\, and use geophysical data collected by the mission to const
rain the compositional and temperature structure of the interior. The hope
is that by providing a snapshot of Mars' present-day state\, we might be
able to better understand the long-term evolution of the planet.
