  our lives\, workplaces\, homes\, and the wider world. But the creation of
  these technologies is a young field\, and we are already seeing how the r
 apid deployment of powerful digital technologies can have unintended conse
 quences. This talk will discuss some of the issues and a range of practica
 l approaches to adjust how technologies are developed and how we deploy an
