DESCRIPTION:The UK Space Agency is responsible for the UK’s civil space 
 programme\, which aims to drive sustainable economic growth\, secure new s
 cientific knowledge and provide benefit to all citizens. The Agency’s vi
 sion is to ‘lead the new space age’ – but what does that mean? Clair
 e Barcham\, Commercial Space Director at the UK Space Agency\, will explor
 e how technical innovation is transforming the economics of space and shap
 ing a new commercial space age – and the role governments can play in gi
 ving businesses a leading edge.\nThe talk will be followed by refreshments
  outside the lecture theatre.\nThe talk will be at 7:30pm at the usual loc
 ation of Wolfson lecture theatre in the Department of Chemistry. The entra
 nce is the opposite side of the building to Bristol-Myers-Squibb Lecture t
